Sometimes a Curse can take control of your life…and threaten to destroy it.

Misfortune and violence follow Marek Aizbakir wherever he goes. Since immigrating to Uskait with his older sister and their caretaker, the only constant in his life has been moving to a new town once calamity seems to have found them. Dekorth City won’t be any different and it’ll only be a matter of time until they have to relocate again. At least his new high school has a club for his favorite card game and he can practice his warhound rodeo riding in the time being.

 

But the peace can’t last. A destructive Curse from Marek’s past lurks in the darkness, and it’s coming for him; building a gang in secret to bring about chaos, using Marek’s inborn power to do its dirty work with the intention of leaving him as a scapegoat. To make matters worse, it’s set its sights on some of Marek’s classmates as potential victims.

If Marek wants to stop the Curse and save his classmates, he might have to face the past that he left behind three years ago. If trying to fight an unseen enemy wasn’t tough enough, some of the Curse’s recruits offer their assistance. But can Marek really trust these men, even if they claim they want to help? Or will the chaos only end when someone winds up dead?
