Rising Empire

Anika has successfully graduated from high school and is preparing for college. The treaty between Brayden and the Human Hunters has been signed. And no one has seen hide nor hair of Shaun MacHeath since the trial. Everything should be easy from here on out, right? Wrong!

 

A small group of hybrids have arrived in Canis Falls and claim that Shaun sent them to seek refuge from Brayden. Led by Dimitri, a ferryman from the Island of the Sun and acquaintance of Anika, these new hybrids bring more questions than answers, especially when one of them takes a liking to Anika. To make matters worse, one of the newcomers has taken to goading Brayden every chance he gets.

 

As tensions rise, Anika and Dimitri’s friendship becomes stronger while her relationship with Brayden seems to stagnate. Shaun’s true motives and loyalties are thrown into question. And Anika must decide what she wants out of life and how long she can wait for the hybrid she thinks she loves. One thing’s for sure, their journey will be one of self-realization, a journey in finding out who you really are and who's worth your time and friendship, a journey to last a lifetime.
